According to the first quarterly report of 2022 released by BYD, a leading domestic new energy vehicle company, the company achieved operating income of 66.825 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 63.02%. Among them, the revenue growth was mainly due to the rapid growth of the new energy vehicle industry. In the first quarter, the cumulative sales volume of BYD's new energy vehicles was 286,300 units, a year-on-year increase of 422.97%.

In addition to leading companies, Shenzhen's new energy vehicle industry chain is well-equipped, with leading charging pile coverage, and power batteries and other related technology companies are gaining gratifying.

The "2021 China's Major Cities Charging Infrastructure Monitoring Report" issued by the Urban Transportation Infrastructure Monitoring and Governance Laboratory of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the China Urban Planning and Design Institute pointed out that Shenzhen has the highest coverage of public charging piles in the country, with a density of 73.2 public charging piles. /km2, showing a "fault-type" lead.

As a benchmark demonstration project of Shenzhen New Energy Vehicle Industrial Park, Shenzhen Pingshan New Energy Vehicle Industry Base is under construction in an orderly manner. The industrial park covers a total area of 107,800 square meters. After the project is completed, it can provide 321,000 square meters of industrial space. It will build a new energy vehicle technology innovation center integrating R&D office, light production and other functions.
